The Executive Committee of the Bajan Fire Fighters’ Network (Registered Charity No:1133) on Thursday presented two members, Clifford Clarke and Timothy Boaden with certificates of Life Membership during a brief ceremony at Fire Service Headquarters in Bridgetown. Honorary Life Membership is awarded to members who have served the Charity in an exemplary manner at the national level.
Timothy Boaden a historian with the Toledo Fire Fighters Museum has been instrumental in providing smoke detectors and other assistance via the firefighters’ charity to the Barbados Fire Service for distribution to senior citizens and other vulnerable persons.
Clifford Clarke a former Chief Fire Officer and founding member of the charity has consistently demonstrated outstanding service in many areas of the community. Since retiring from the Barbados Fire Service, Clarke has continued to be actively involved in endeavours that uplift and develop our country.
Chief Administrative Officer of the charity Glyne Alleyne thanked both recipients for their consistent support and outstanding service rendered, also in attendance was acting Deputy Chief Fire Officer Ricardo Gittens.
